Studio founders Chris Lewis and Mike Alexander joined forces to bring together some of the most popular fitness workouts in one place. We offer CrossFit, TRX training, personal training, hybrid classes, and more. With three separate workout areas, men and women can come together yet workout separately if they wish. With small classes we are able to provide personal attention to make sure all clients are challenged to achieve their fitness goals in a fun and safe environment.

CrossFit is the principal strength and conditioning program for many police academies and tactical operations teams, military special operations units, champion martial artists, and hundreds of other elite and professional athletes worldwide.

Our program delivers a fitness that is, by design, broad, general, and inclusive. Our specialty is not specializing. Combat, survival, many sports, and life reward this kind of fitness and, on average, punish the specialist.

The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience. We scale load and intensity; we don't change programs. You won't have to lift weights beyond your level or perform movements beyond your skill set. We pride ourselves on working with people of all ability levels and making them better. Furthermore, our target population is not specific to age or gender, instead we are welcoming anyone who is willing to work hard and keep an open mind to CrossFit principles.

Getting Started

CrossFit Journal: The Performance-Based Lifestyle Resource

It's easy! The first step is to call or email us to set up your free, introductory session. This allows you the opportunity to meet us, experience a CrossFit workout, and decide whether it's for you or not. It allows us the opportunity to serve you better by getting to know your goals and expectations, and current fitness level and experience. If you decide to join the CrossFit UTC family then your next step is to enroll in our Foundations introductory course.

We limit our class sizes during Foundations so we can minimize distractions and can pay maximum attention to your individual needs. During the two-week course you will learn how to perform the fundamental CrossFit Movements safely and effectively, ensuring a seamless transition into the Group Workouts after completing Foundations. It will also afford you the chance to learn more about the CrossFit culture, including discussions about the most important aspect of your fitness - nutrition.

Foundations is $199 and includes two weeks of the regular Group Workouts once the course is completed. You will take three classes a week for two weeks. Classes are offered Mon-Fri with a makeup session offered on Saturday. Attendance is mandatory for all six sessions. If you cannot attend all six sessions, even with the ability to make up a session on Saturday, you must schedule a session with a coach at an additional cost. We know the policy is a little strict, but it's the most efficient way to ensure you're ready for the Group Classes and keep the number of participants small and manageable. We welcome you to make an appointment with us so that you may come in and see firsthand who we are, and what we do!

Chris Lewis
Education

Chris is an ACE and NSCA certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor with over nine years' experience in the industry. Initially, he developed an interest in teaching and training others in fitness while serving as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he attained the rank of captain.

From competing in Jr. tournament tennis, to learning Taekwondo, to boxing in Golden Gloves, to running marathons, he has been active in sports and outdoor activities from an early age. His current passions, besides his family, are fly fishing, kayaking, and of course, CrossFit.

To say Chris is passionate about helping others improve their fitness and their lives is an understatement. Chris is dedicated to helping everyone he coaches move, feel, and live better - regardless of their current fitness level.

Mike Alexander

Mike has been a personal fitness coach for more than 15 years and is thrilled to realize his dream of opening his own studio. With certifications in the National Academy of Sports Medicine (Personal Training), Aerobics & Fitness Association of America (Group Exercise Instructor), Schwinn Spinning and TRX Suspension Training Mike will help you achieve all your fitness goals. Mike loves to share his passion of helping people change their lives and making a positive impact on people, whether in or out of the studio. Other passions include producing music, DJ'ing, competing in triathlons, tennis, golf, sailing, beach volleyball, coaching, food and wine. You just might find you'll be working out to some of Mike's hottest mixes as he pushes you to new limits so you finally see all the results you've been waiting for!
